Q: Why did you join the Marine Corp?
A: To prove to people I can do it. I'm not doing it because other people in my family have done it or because I'm following in their footsteps, I'm doing it for me.
Q: What challenges will you have to overcome?
A: I need to work on PT (physical training) especially pull-ups and running. Also, I don't think that the drill instructors yelling at me will phase me.
Q: What are you most looking forward to?
A: Earning the title of being a Marine. The emblem ceremony is going to be awesome.
Q: What's the emblem ceremony?
A: It's where you get eagle, globe, and anchor, and become a Marine. I can't wait, it's going to be the best day of my life.
Q: What have you done so far to prepare?
A: Every Tuesday and Thursday I do PT and I go on runs in my free time and workout.
Q: What are your future plans?
A: I have a four year contract, and once that's over I want to go to college for criminal justice and maybe become a police officer, but if I stay in I definitely want to be a drill instructor. I also want to travel the world when I'm done and die happy.
